Do you have a video or other media that you would like to submit to the National Federation of the Blind?

Once you submit your media, we will review it for potential use, both now, or at some point in the future. 

Additionally, please visit our YouTube channel, NationsBlind. Our channel is devoted to videos created by or featuring the National Federation of the Blind and its 50,000 members.

Any type of media should be sent in the highest possible quality. 

Video Guidelines

  • All videos must be shot in landscape orientation in the highest quality, for example 1080p.
  • Accepted video file formats are: .mpeg4, .avi, .mov, .wmv.
  • Close ups/head shots are preferred when filming interview style.
  • It is best to always use a microphone to capture the best quality of sound.
  • All videos should include video description (if necessary). Video description can be included by the person(s) in the video. For example, "My name is Jane Doe and I am outside on this gorgeous sunny day in front of the White House." When you upload your video via the media upload form please include a brief description about what your video is about. 
  • There is no minimum or maximum video length requirement; however, if you wish to upload a video longer than 10 minutes please contact John Pare via email at [email protected] or telephone at (410) 659-9314, extension 2218 for further advisement. 

Image Guidelines

  • Accepted image file formats are: .jpg, .jpeg, .tif, .tiff.
  • All images should be uploaded in the highest resolution possible. Images should be at least 300 dpi. If you are uncertain, please ensure your camera is set for the highest quality.

Terms and Conditions 

By uploading content, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assignment of Rights

You agree to assign all rights of copyright in the uploaded content exclusively to the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). “Rights of copyright” includes the worldwide right to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, edit, make derivative works, and license or transfer any of these rights to others without restriction. “Content” includes any literary, musical, dramatic, choreographic, audio, audiovisual, pictorial, or graphical work, as well as any sound recording, images from an audiovisual work, pantomimes, or any other copyrightable material.

2. General Warranty and License

You warrant to the NFB that you are the sole and exclusive owner of copyright in the uploaded content, and that it does not infringe the copyright of any other person or entity. You also warrant that the content is not offensive, defamatory, slanderous, invasive of the privacy of, or infringing of any statutory or common law rights of any person or entity.

You warrant that you are the exclusive authorized user of any trade or service marks included in the uploaded content. You grant NFB an unrestricted license to use the marks as included in the content, or in any edited or derivative work.

3. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless NFB, its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from your violation of any term of these Terms and conditions, or from your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right, or from  any claim that your Content caused damage to a third party.

4. Additional Certifications

You certify that you are at least eighteen years of age. You further certify that you understand and are competent to accept these terms and conditions. Finally, you certify that you understand that the NFB is not obligated to present your content on its website or in any other forum.
